NEW ZEALAND SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE CENTRE
Run independently from the Government, this site gives you insight into NZ government money that may be available for you to use towards your small business.
"Find what funding programmes you qualify for. Take 45 seconds to learn how much money your small business may be able to receive in government grants and/or loans if you meet the criteria. While no one can guarantee you funding the more you know the better."

INLAND REVENUE DEPARTMENT (IRD)
Dealing with the IRD can be a daunting task, but learning to manage your revenue and tax is critical to the success of your business.
The IRD doesn't need to be scary. They provide some well thought out, easily digestible lessons about small business on their website and are available to answer questions over the phone (if you don't mind holding the line for a bit and listening to some Dave Dobbyn).
Remember, they want to see you be successful in your venture. Be patient, take it slow and plan ahead.
